This policy supplements the Domain Registration Agreement and applies to domains managed through BytesGlue and Openprovider.
1. Controlling dates
The controlling renewal deadline is the expiration or renewal_date shown in Openprovider. It can differ from and be earlier than the registry-level expiry date, particularly for country-code domains. The portal labels this as “renew by”. Act on that date, not a later public WHOIS date.
2. Renewal method
New registration orders default Openprovider auto-renewal to on, and you may turn it off in the order form before submission. When on, Openprovider may attempt renewal automatically at the then-current renewal price before its controlling deadline, subject to successful billing and provider eligibility. When off, provider renewal requires a separate authenticated request and confirmed provider action. The portal records the registrar setting separately from BytesGlue’s managed or manual support preference.
3. Renewal notices
Openprovider ordinarily emails the Holder approximately thirty days and seven days before expiry and promptly after expiry if the domain was not renewed. BytesGlue may send additional notices. The Holder must keep the registrant email accurate and must not block or reroute mandatory lifecycle notices.
4. Expiry and deletion
If renewal is not completed by the Openprovider deadline, the domain may be cancelled or deleted and its website, email and DNS may stop working. Depending on the TLD, it may become publicly available immediately or enter grace, soft-quarantine, redemption, hard-quarantine or pending-delete states. No grace period is promised.
Turning auto-renew off does not itself delete an active domain. A pre-expiry deletion requires an authenticated, explicitly reviewed Holder request and warning that the result may be immediate and irreversible.
5. Restoration
A deleted or expired domain can be restored only when the registry permits it. Restoration periods and fees differ by TLD, may change without notice, and may be unavailable after pending delete. Restoration and renewal fees must be paid before we act and are normally non-refundable.
6. Refunds
Successfully processed registrations, renewals, transfers, restorations and deletions are final and generally non-refundable. This includes mistaken registrations or renewals, renewal before a transfer, premium domains, and domains revoked for inaccurate information, abuse or unlawful activity, except where mandatory law or a confirmed registrar exception requires otherwise.
7. Holder responsibilities
The Holder must maintain a reachable email, review portal and registrar notices, request renewal early, verify invoice details, pay in time, and report any date discrepancy immediately. BytesGlue is not responsible for a missed renewal caused by stale Holder information, blocked notices, late payment, an unapproved order or registry action beyond our control.
8. ബന്ധപ്പെടുക
For a renewal, discrepancy or urgent domain issue, email domains@bytesglue.com and create a domain request in the client portal. Do not rely on an informal message alone when a deadline is near.
